Georgekutty in action, Ajay waits

Shooting for one of Malayalam cinema’s most anticipated threequels, Drishyam 3, has begun, with Mohanlal performing the pooja ceremony before stepping back into the role of Georgekutty. Sharing a picture from the occasion, he wrote, “Bringing Georgekutty’s world alive once again,” signalling the return of the much-loved character. The film, directed by Jeethu Joseph, marks the third instalment of the acclaimed thriller franchise. The director had earlier confirmed that the Malayalam version will reach theatres ahead of its Hindi counterpart. The buzz is that the Bollywood adaptation, featuring Ajay Devgn, will only move forward once the Malayalam script is finalised. The director had revealed that the makers of the Hindi film will wait for him to write a script for them before going into production. The release date of the Mohanlal starrer is yet to be announced.

Actor Sai Pallavi sparked online chatter after her sister, Pooja Kannan, shared pictures from a beach holiday on Instagram. Some images appeared to show Sai in a swimsuit, prompting discussion among social media users comparing her real-life look to her traditional on-screen image. The post quickly attracted attention, with multiple comments remarking the contrast between her pictures and reel-image. Her fans, however, responded promptly, defending Sai’s choice of clothing and emphasising that wearing a swimsuit is appropriate for the beach. They also criticised users sharing edited versions of the photographs. On the work front, Sai will next appear as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
