It was a shocker after Paresh Rawal announced that he had decided to step back from Hera Pheri 3, and now, in an even bigger development, it has been reported that Akshay Kumar, through his production house Cape of Good Films, has sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal over his unprofessional behavior and for leaving the film midway after signing a legal contract and commencing the shoot.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Paresh Rawal has received a notice claiming damages of Rs 25 crore because of his unprofessional conduct and leaving the movie midway after signing a legal paper and commencing the shoot. While earlier reports suggested he stepped back due to creative differences, Mid-Day reported that the actor stated, “I know it came as a shock to many. We three make a great combination with Priyadarshanji directing us, but the fact is that I opted out because today I don’t feel like a part of it.”

“I love Priyadarshan and have great respect and faith in him as a director. We have done wonderful movies together in the past and will continue to do so. There were no creative differences, nor is there a possibility of having any with him,” he further added.

About Hera Pheri 3

Hera Pheri 3 is the third installment in the popular Hera Pheri franchise. Paresh Rawal portrayed the unforgettable Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the Hera Pheri series, a character that became hugely popular.

Meanwhile, the film is set to be directed by Priyadarshan, who is currently shooting his film Bhoot Bangla, which also stars Paresh and Akshay Kumar. The team has already filmed the muhurat shot of the film with the OG cast, which includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.

About the Hera Pheri franchise

The original film, released in 2000 and directed by Priyadarshan, featured a stellar cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The plot centers around three struggling men who accidentally become involved in a kidnapping scheme. The follow-up film, Phir Hera Pheri, was released in 2006 and was directed by Neeraj Vora. The third installment will star Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty reprising their roles.

Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal is set to collaborate once again with director Priyadarshan in the upcoming film Bhoot Bangla.
