Bollywood celebrities Shatrughan Sinha, Jackie Shroff, and Shekhar Kapur paid a heartfelt tribute to the evergreen hero Dev Anand, praising him for his motivation and wisdom

Legendary actor Dev Anand passed away at age 88 in London, on this day, 14 years ago. Bollywood celebs Shatrughan Sinha, Jackie Shroff, and Shekhar Kapur took to their social media account to pay tribute to the superstar.
Dev Anand made his debut in 1946 with Hum Ek Hain and spent 65 years (1946-2011) as an actor and filmmaker in the Hindi film industry.
He left an indelible mark on the minds of movie buffs with classics like Ziddi (1948), Baazi (1951), CID (1956), Paying Guest (1957), Kala Pani (1958), Bombai Ka Babu (1960), Guide (1965) and Jewel Thief (1967). He turned to direction in the 70s and tasted success with blockbusters like Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971), Heera Panna (1973), and Des Pardes (1978).
Shatrughan Sinha calls Dev Anand the most stylish hero
Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha took to his official X handle and posted two throwback stills of the scenes from movies they did together - Prem Pujari and Gambler.
He claimed that Dev Anand was one of the most stylish heroes the industry has seen to date. "Remembering Dev Saheb with love, fondness & an attitude of gratitude. DevAnand is one of the most stylish & evergreen heroes till date. (sic)", the post read.

Shatrughan also stated that he still holds close to his heart the pearls of wisdom shared by Dev Anand. "Your motivation & advice is very close to my heart even today. Long Live Dev Saheb! DeathAnniversary," he concluded.
Helmed by Dev Anand, Prem Pujari further stars Waheeda Rehman, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri, and Amrish Puri in key roles. The drama talks about Ramdev Bakshi, a peace-loving army officer who defies orders and ends up getting court-martialed, leading to his disappearance.
Talking about their second collaboration, Gambler, the Amarjeet directorial features Dev Anand, Zaheeda, and Shatrughan Sinha as the core cast.
Jackie Shroff pays homage to the legend
Paying a heartfelt tribute to the legendary actor, Jackie Shroff also dropped a few scenes from the 1982 drama Swami Dada, which was directed by Dev Anand.
Starring Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Christine O'Neil, Padmini Kohlapure, and Dev Anand, the project marked the debut film of Jackie Shroff.

"DevAnand 43yearsofswamidada (sic),” Jackie captioned the post. In addition to this, Jackie posted a string of photographs of Dev Anand and included the track Hai Apna Dil To Aawara from the 1958 film Solva Saal. For the caption, Jackie penned, “Always in our hearts! Dev Anand.”
Shekhar Kapur shares a lesson he learnt from Dev Anand
Director Shekhar Kapur posted an inspiring anecdote about the actor's reaction to the failure of his movie Ishq Ishq Ishq. For the unaware, Shekhar Kapur is his nephew as his mother, Sheel Kanta Kapur, was Dev Anand's sister.
He took to his Instagram and dropped an old still of the actor. Recalling the superstar's dejected reaction upon hearing the news of Ishq Ishq Ishq flopping, he wrote, "Dev Uncle looked at me, ‘Shekhar, the film is a disaster.' He got up and went to the washroom. I thought maybe it’s time for me to leave him alone .. to get over his loss" he reminisced.
However, he revealed that the actor bounced back from failure instantly, "But he came out quickly, his face changed, his voice full of excitement and of hope. 'I have an idea for another film .. it’s a great story.'"

He shared how the most important lesson he has learned from the actor is to always be optimistic, move on from loss and regret and come back stronger. "He’s passed away now .. But I will never forget this lesson he taught me .. Regret is not an emotion you can allow to weigh you down" he concluded the post.
