Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Thama is making waves even before its release. It is one of the most-awaited films of Maddock horror-comedy universe. After sharing a montage from sets earlier, the makers have now dropped the first look of star cast=Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal and Nawazudding Siddiqui.

Taking to their Instagram handle, Maddock films dropped Ayushmann’s look as Alok and wrote, “Presenting Ayushmann Khurrana as Alok - Insaaniyat ki aakhri umeed. The World of Thama drops tomorrow at 11:11 am. This Diwali, the universe gives us a bloody love story in cinemas worldwide.”

They also introduced Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s characters as Mr. Ram Bajaj Goyal - Jo Hamesha Comedy Mein Tragedy Dhoondhte Hain and Yakshaashan - Andhere ka badshah.

About Thama

Thama is said to be a romantic love story that explores unrequited love through a central character. The film is set in present-day Delhi, where Khurrana is said to be playing a historian. “The narrative is laced with flashbacks that take viewers to the ancient city of Vijayanagar, where the love story begins,” the source further added.

The Aditya Sarpotdar’s directorial Thama was announced last year in October. Touted to be a gripping love story set against a bloody backdrop is poised to release on Diwali 2025. It is backed by Dinesh Vijan and is a part of Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe. Notably, Thama will be locking horns with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s yet untitled film, directed by Anurag Basu.

Ayushmann and Rashmika upcoming movies

On the work front, the actor has Pati, Patni Aur Woh 2 in which he will be seen romancing three actresses. He will then kickstart shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s family drama with Sharvari. Meanwhile, Rashmika has The Girlfriend in the pipeline. A few days back, it was confirmed that she is a part of Homi Adajania’s Cocktail 2 with Kriti Sanon.
