BLACKPINK’s Jisoo released the jungle-themed music video for her song Your Love, earning praise from fans for its visuals and emotional vibe. Meanwhile, industry rumors suggest BLACKPINK is preparing a short album
BLACKPINK Jisoo
BLACKPINK may be knee-deep in their Deadline tour, but the members' solo charm is still in full effect. Jisoo chose to take a break from the stage this week and release a new music video set in the jungle. On August 12, the K-pop icon released the much-anticipated, dreamlike video for her song Your Love on YouTube and social media. In just a few minutes, she was able to melt hearts with this tender jungle-themed video.
BLINKS react to Jisoo's music video
The reactions were, as usual, rather positive. "The queen of kpop is coming to drop another iconic video we love to see it," read one remark on X. One more BLINK remark read, "Your love by Jisoo — visuals are EVERYTHING, this is cinema!" Other fans appeared to share the sentiment. "10/10 from my side," stated one, while another exclaimed, "Oh she's a bop."
While fans are replaying the teaser, there is more BLACKPINK news to discuss. Soompi, citing an industry insider, reports that all four members — Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo — are planning to release a short album later this year. The group has allegedly finished its album jacket photography and is putting the finishing touches on production. The insider revealed: "BLACKPINK must release an album this year. The original plan was to release it in October, but the timeline has been altered. They intend to release it in November and, if possible, perform onstage."
YG Entertainment is keeping quiet for the time being, vowing to make official announcements later. But with Jisoo's jungle romance and rumors of a group reunion, BLINKs have plenty of incentive to keep their calendars open.
BLACKPINK refutes rumours of new album
Recently, there were reports that BLACKPINK was finally returning with their album in November, however, YG Entertainment later responded to the reports of a November release. While they have not outright refused BLACKPINK's return, they have stated to Newsen, "We will announce details through official promotions at a later date." As BLINKs, also known as BLACKPINK fans, eagerly expect new songs, YG's reaction disappointed them. Furthermore, their most recent song, JUMP, has aroused hopes that the members would release more music soon.
