Soobin appeared as a guest on the July 16th episode of Radio Star, which aired on YouTube channel MBCentertainment. It was one of the TXT leader's infrequent variety show appearances, which delighted supporters. Soobin expressed his anxiousness and desire to appear on variety shows, as well as his group's lack of invitations.
He mentioned, "I have ambitions for variety shows, but our group isn't really known for being that funny, so we haven't been invited to many." To make his participation on Radio Star noteworthy, he sought the advice of senior K-pop idols from his organisation.

Soobin recalled their conversation: "I told him I don't have any special talents or impressions, but he just said, 'What kind of personal skills?'" "Just go!"
Upon hearing this, MC Kim Gura chimed in with a lighthearted remark, "Seems like no one around you is giving you any real advice," which had the cast in stitches.
