When BTS Suga attended his first Weverse live of 2025 on Sunday, his astonishment went viral. Since joining the military, this was his first broadcast. Suga introduced Tang (Sugar), his black cat, during the live performance. Fans went crazy over this surprise, posting on social media and reacting to his return with great enthusiasm.

Suga looked adorable sporting spectacles and an all-black attire. He introduced the spectators to his black cat while holding it in his palms. The cat's name is Tang, which means "Sugar," according to Suga. "Everyone, it's cold, please take care of your health," he stated during the live session. I'll be returning soon."

ARMY reacts to the livestream

A video of multiple ARMYs getting together to watch a movie in theaters was uploaded by a fan. When they unexpectedly got a notification on their phones about Yoongi going online, they yelled and shrieked. They all shouted and chuckled as Suga appeared on their screens. "I'm relieved that our fandom didn't overreact. "All in all, valid reactions," a fan joked. "I needed to double check to make sure it's really Yoongi and I'm not dreaming when the notification came," someone commented. Another person said, "Aww, I love us ARMYS so much, why is this making me cry?"

Suga's journey with philantrophy

On September 22, 2023, Suga started his social work. In June of this year, he finished his required duty, paving the way for their eagerly anticipated reunion after more than 2.5 years. Jin was released from the military in June of last year after being the first to enlist in December 2022. In October 2024, J-Hope was released. Last week, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook were released. Namjoon, Jin, Suga, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook attended a recent J-Hope concert in Seoul. But the only others who accompanied him on stage were Jin and Jungkook.

BTS member Suga (Min Yoongi) donated 5 billion won to Severance Hospital in Seoul to establish the Min Yoongi Treatment Center for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. The centre will provide long-term therapy, research support and music-based programmes, reflecting Suga’s commitment to mental health awareness and meaningful social impact.
