Nayanthara is back to rule the Telugu film industry with her third consecutive pairing with Chiranjeevi, this time in a Anil Ravipudi entertainer, Mega157. The action drama is expected to release during Sankranti 2026

The highly anticipated Telugu action drama, Mega157 has made a much-awaited annoucement revealing the acclaimed actress Nayanthara as the female lead. The makers of the film unveiled the casting news with a special promo, dedicated for Nayanthara's role.
Nayanthara will be working with director Anil Ravipudi for the first time. Anil is known for his Telugu directorials such as Pataas, raja The Great and Sarileru Neekevvaru. The director took to his X account, welcoming the actress on board.

In the note along with the promo, Anil bethroned Nayanthara as the 'ever graceful queen'. The promo was iconic in itself, focusing on Nayanthara getting ready when an assistant asks her about her frequently speakng in Telugu and says, "She's back to rule our Telugu hearts again".
Nayanthara's last Telugu film released in 2022 with Chiranjeevi. After a long hiatus from the Telugu film industry, she marks her return by reuniting with megastar Chiranjeevi for their third film together. The actor took to his X account to announce the news of her casting.

In the announcement, Chiranjeevi mentioned that the actress and him will complete a hatrick with three consecutive Telugu films together. The co-stars were seen together first in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019), then in GodFather (2022) and now the third time in Anil Ravipudi's action drama, Mega157. The film is all set to hit the theaters during Sankranti 2026, directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens with Sushmita Konidela's Gold Box Entertainments co-producing the project.
Nayanthara on the work front
Nayanthara was last seen in the OTT film Test, alongside versatile actor R. Madhavan and Telugu actor Siddharth, directed by Sashikanth. Earlier in 2024, she played the lead role in Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan, which also featured a cameo by Deepika Padukone.
