Awez Darbar, a digital influencer and content developer, was booted from 'Bigg Boss 19' on Sunday. He finished in the bottom three, alongside Ashnoor Kaur and Pranit More, according to audience votes. Other participants nominated for eviction included Gaurav Khanna, Mridul Tiwari, and Neelam Giri.
Awez got evicted
Awez, who is the son of music composer Ismail Darbar and has approximately 45 million Instagram and YouTube followers, appeared on the show with his girlfriend and fellow influencer Nagma Mirajkar. Earlier this season, Awez proposed to Nagma on the show. However, Nagma was expelled two weeks ago, and now Awez has followed suit.
His eviction was not entirely unexpected. Despite developing strong friendships with housemates such as Abhishek Bajaj, Ashnoor Kaur, Gaurav Khanna, Pranit More, and Mridul Tiwari, Awez was frequently criticised for being too quiet on the show. Salman Khan, the host, continuously asked him to speak out and participate in the game.
Abhishek and Pranit broke down in tears
Abhishek Bajaj and Pranit More broke down in tears when they came to know Awez got evicted. Abhishek said, "I kept telling him that he needs to speak up for himself or else all of them will eat him in this game, and that happened." Pranit also couldn't hold back his tears and shared how he kept trying to push Awez to take his game in his hands. Abhishek constantly kept pushing Awez to open up and start the fight for the right things. Nehal further shared that she felt guilty about nominating their team. She broke down in tears and revealed that she felt bad on getting Awez nominated.
Awez was also involved in a huge dispute during his tenure. Co-contestants Baseer Ali and Amaal Mallik accused him of being disloyal to Nagma, alleging that he messaged other girls while in a relationship. The charges caused a commotion within the house, but the situation soon settled down. Nonetheless, it left Awez obviously rattled.
Before his eviction, Gauahar Khan, the winner of 'Bigg Boss 7' and Awez's sister-in-law, appeared on the show to give him a much-needed wake-up call. She told him to start standing up for himself and not allow others to overshadow him. Gauahar also slammed Amaal Mallik for using harsh words and bringing personal issues into the game.
With Awez eliminated from 'Bigg Boss 19', it would be intriguing to see how his eviction affects the dynamics among the remaining contestants.
