The situation worsened when Amaal Mallik made a vulgar gesture, drawing strong criticism from Kunickaa Sadanand and outrage from viewers online, who accused him of disrespectful behaviour
Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 turned into a full-blown drama fest as contestants clashed during the captaincy contendership task. What began as a spirited competition soon spiralled into heated arguments, with singer-composer Amaal Mallik and contestant Tanya Mittal at the centre of it all.
The tension started when Amaal mocked Tanya’s claim of being “truthful,” questioning her credibility in front of the housemates. He even asked if anyone would support her as captain — and when most said no, Tanya snapped back, calling him “sabse bada jhootha.” Not one to hold back, Amaal fired right back, labelling her “gaddar.”
Amaal makes a vulgar gesture
Things took an uncomfortable turn when Amaal, while taunting Tanya, made a crude gesture and remarked, “Isko laga ye bhaiya bolegi toh mera dil toot jaayega, par mujhe gha*tega bhi farak nahi pada.” His behaviour drew immediate criticism from Kunickaa Sadanand, who called him out, saying, “Shi Shi Amaal! How can you do all these actions?” Despite being confronted, Amaal repeated the gesture when Tanya and Farhana asked him to, adding that if he was wrong, he would accept being schooled for it.
Netizens reacted to Amaal's comments
Amaal was also observed speaking to her in an inappropriate manner, which irritated Tanya and many spectators. Fans of the show turned to the comments section of the same post to call Amaal out for his inappropriate behaviour. A user said the following: "Tanya se obsessed ho gya hain ye amaal. (Amaal is obsessed with Tanya now.)" Another social media user said, "This guy is obsessed with Tanya at this point." A show fan slammed Amaal, writing, "I'm quite bewildered. What do I say to Amaal, B-grade, C-grade, or D-grade all the time? He wants to make his family proud by demonstrating his upbringing."
The day’s task, designed as a political rally, saw the house split into three teams. Gaurav Khanna, Kunickaa Sadanand, and Shehbaz Badeshah were chosen as “party leaders,” while the other contestants joined them as members. Farrhana and Tanya sided with Kunickaa, Mridul Tiwari and Pranit More backed Gaurav, and Malti Chahar and Ashnoor Kaur joined Shehbaz’s team.
The political chaos inside the house mirrored the emotional one — with alliances, accusations, and dramatic face-offs. In the end, Gaurav Khanna’s team won the first round, while Kunickaa Sadanand’s team emerged victorious in the second, leaving the house divided and tensions still simmering.
