Hui Gumm Yaadein - Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan, the Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed Italian series DOC, which has been successfully remade across multiple countries. Built around the theme of second chances in life, love, and identity, the show follows the extraordinary journey of a brilliant Dr. Dev (Iqbal Khan), who reconstructs his world after losing eight years of his memory in an accident.

All about Ekta Kaul's character

Adding depth to this layered narrative is talented actor Ekta Kaul, who is all set to play the pivotal and emotionally charged role of Srishti, a strong, intelligent lady who is Dr. Dev’s ex-wife. Once a practicing doctor, Srishti stepped away from medicine to raise their children and took over the administrative responsibilities of the hospital where Dr Dev worked. For years, Srishti believed the breakdown of their marriage was Dev’s fault—his shift in personality, his harshness, his lack of empathy, and the arrogance that consumed him after the tragic loss of their six-year-old son, Dhruv. But after Dev’s memory loss, Srishti is confronted with a version of him who is tender, devoted, and madly in love with her again, forcing her to navigate an internal battle between past wounds and a possible second chance at love.

Ekta Kaul on making a comeback

Speaking about the show and her role, Ekta Kaul shared, “What drew me instantly to Yaadein is that it isn’t just a medical drama or a memory-loss story; it’s a journey of rediscovering oneself when everything familiar is suddenly taken away. At its heart, the show speaks about second chances, second chances at life, love, relationships, and purpose. When the show came to me, I was excited as I wanted to be a part of a story that would challenge me, move me, and remind me why I love being in front of the camera. Also, I’ve grown personally and creatively and Srishti felt like the perfect character to return with - a strong, intelligent, and deeply emotional woman.

Yaadein takes viewers through the delicate journey of love, loss, and second chances, capturing the strength of the human spirit.
