The actress used her social media account to provide an emotional update on her mother's condition, confirming that she has been hospitalized. She added that she has been spending less time on social media because her mother is ill.

Munmun shared a note on her Instagram handle sharing, “Have been inactive for a long time, yes. My mom is unwell, and I have been in and out of the hospital for the past 10 days. She is improving now and will be better soon.”
The actress also discussed the difficulties she has encountered while juggling her career duties and the personal hardship of caring for her ailing mother. She expressed gratitude for the consistent support she has received from her close friends during this difficult period.
The actress went on to say, "It's been exhausting to balance my business and personal lives, but I'm grateful for my fantastic friends who have been a huge help. "God is great."

Earlier, Munmun had shared with ETimes TV the struggles she faced during her initial days, and her mother helped her financially, "I needed money to pay my PG rent and also pay a photographer for my portfolio. My mom gave me money from her own savings, without telling my dad. That money helped me pay rent, get my photos, and start auditioning. That support meant everything."
She further shared, "She proudly tells them that I’m not married because I don’t want to be right now and that she supports me completely. One word is not enough, it’s like a roller coaster. We have love, we have anger. It’s friendly. She is definitely my friend, and I can talk to her about everything that’s going on in my life."
