There’s always been talk about how TV actors face hurdles breaking into films due to industry biases. But then there’s Vivian Dsena, one of television’s biggest stars, who simply doesn’t want to make that leap. Why? Like everyone else, we were curious too, so we sat down with him for a candid chat. And while Vivian offered an intriguing insight, he also shared some exciting news for all his fans in this exclusive conversation with us at Mid-day.
Vivian Dsena will never work in a film
Vivian Dsena has consistently topped the charts with hit television shows. Over his decades-long career, he has delivered four major successes, including Madhubala, Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani, and Shakti. For Vivian, TV has been his comfort zone, and he loves what he does. When asked about movies, he shared, “By God’s grace, I have done four shows, and all of them have been hits. I would like to continue doing that, whether on television or the web, but films are not really my type.”
Vivian Dsena to star in a web series
While his response made it clear that movies aren’t in his plans, one word caught our attention - web. Remember the exciting news we promised? Here it is. Vivian confirmed that he is currently in talks for several web projects and will soon be seen in a series.
Sharing this happy update, the actor said, “I’ve come back, really come back to work. There are a lot of discussions and new projects in the pipeline, so hopefully, you’ll see me in a series very soon.”
Vivian Dsena celebrates 13 years of Madhubala
Vivian also marked 13 years of his iconic show Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on May 28. Reminiscing about the days when he used to shoot for the hit drama alongside Drashti Dhami, he shared fond memories and reflected on the love he received from fans.
“During Madhubala, fans would come all the way to Film City just to meet me,” he recalled, adding, “There were women who would say, ‘Sir, my husband may not watch anything else, but he never misses your show.’ These people came only for RK (Vivian’s character), and I truly feel I was at the right place at the right time and I put in just the right amount of hard work to make it count.”
