The makers have dropped the much-awaited teaser trailer of Fallout Season 2 along with the release date at gamescon. The makers shared that the first episode of Ella Purnell's show to release on December 17, followed by the finale in February

The makers of Fallout 2 recently dropped the teaser trailer of the much-awaited and critically acclaimed global hit series at gamescom, the world’s largest gaming event. Fallout is based on a video game of the same name and is produced by Kilter Films, along with executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the executive producers, creators, and showrunners. Ever since its launch in 2024, Fallout Season One has amassed more than 100 million viewers worldwide, ranking among the top three most-watched titles ever on the platform.

The new season is expected to pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale, taking audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Season Two is all set to premiere in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The teaser trailer was launched in front of a packed crowd of over 5,000 attendees at gamescom. Makers Nolan, Robertson-Dworet, and series stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten shared insight into Season Two’s stakes and the journey that lies ahead for series favourite characters Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul. They also surprised the crowd by revealing the series' teaser trailer and release date. The footage introduced a new cast member, Justin Theroux, who plays the role of Robert House, giving audiences their first glimpse of one of the Fallout universe's most terrifying post-apocalyptic predators, the Deathclaw.

Fallout is based on one of the greatest video game series of all time. It is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two hundred years post the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters must return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind. They are left shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.
The series features Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Sweetpea), Aaron Moten (Emancipation, Father Stu), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys).
During the gamescom Opening Night Live global livestream, it was also unveiled that the highly anticipated new season will premiere on December 17, 2025. It will be an eight-episode season rolling out with one new episode weekly until the season finale on February 4, 2026.
