Mayyank Taandon in Indian Police Force

Actor Mayyank Taandon who is most popularly known for his role in the TV show 'Karishma Kaa Karishma' has returned to the screen with Rohit Shetty's recently released series 'Indian Police Force'.  A month after the release of the Indian Police Force on Amazon Prime Video,  director Rohit Shetty took to his Instagram handle to share an introductory video for Mayyank Taandon. While 'Indian Police Force' is one of the most-watched series last month, many people failed to make the connection between Mayyank and his childhood work on television.

Rohit Shetty shared a video tracing Mayyank's journey from the show 'Karishma Kaa Karishma' to the antagonist in Indian Police Force. From playing an innocent lad in the TV show to the menacing Zarar. Sharing the video, Shetty wrote, "This is for the 90s kid... Introducing (grown up ) @mayyanktaandon".

Meanwhile, Mayyank recently got married and the team of 'Indian Police Force' was seen attending his wedding reception. He got married to Mayuri Soni and celebrities like Rohit Shetty, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Pooja Hegde, and others were seen at the reception.

Indian Police Force to return for season 2:

Rohit Shetty who is known for creating Bollywood's first cop universe with Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi also ventured into the OTT space with a web series on the Delhi police force.

Indian Police Force, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Vivek Oberoi garnered over 10 million views within a week of its release. Owing to the response, Amazon Prime Video has greenlit the second season of the series, with development processes expedited to meet the insatiable demand of eager viewers. “The show was made to garner a whole new section of the audience—masses who loved the Singham franchise. Indian Police Force was a tentpole show for Amazon Prime Video, and it achieved what it set out to do,” informed a source to mid-day, adding that although a second season was always in the plans, expediting was never in the designs. The show ends with the Kathmanu track. “The [series] will be kept distinct from the Singham, Simmba, and |Sooryavanshi worlds and won’t merge them in the subsequent season either. In the weeks to come, as the new season is developed, a crucial call will be taken if they want to extend the same storyline or go beyond and start a new story with the same characters,” added the source.
