Did you know that Salsa is the most social dance form in the world, for it connects over 10 million people with common dance ethics, techniques and styles? "[And yet,] the way it's usually taught in India tends to be choreography-centric, where the focus is on specific lifts and moves instead of teaching the overall dance form. So, people barely get to enjoy Salsa the way it's meant to be — at Salsa nights and fests, where you may not have danced to the music being played, but you share a common language with others," says Sahiba Sawhney, who has been teaching the dance form for 11 years. As part of her venture, Dance Design, she is conducting a Salsa workshop, where she says, all you need to have is the willingness to dance and have fun.
