Indian electronic dance music (EDM) festival, Sunburn festival is set to move to Mumbai this year.
Founded in 2007, the festival has been held in Goa for 18 years. “Goa has been an integral part of our story and will always be close to us, but building a legacy also means taking it forward. Bringing Sunburn to Mumbai feels like the right step, creating new energy and connections in a city that never stands still. The city’s creative pulse and deep ties to youth culture make it the perfect stage for what’s next. With the support of the Government of Maharashtra, we’re proud to help shape Mumbai’s rise as India’s festival capital, and I can’t wait to see what we build together this year," said Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn.

The festival will take place on December 19 - 21 in the maximum city.
Tickets for the festival opens for all starting August 14.

The city holds a special place for the music festival that hosted Avicii’s groundbreaking performance in 2011, which marked their debut in Mumbai, followed by Swedish House Mafia’s record 25,000 attendees in 2013 and Martin Garrix’s massive 50,000 attendees in 2018.
With landmark global and homegrown festivals like Lollapalooza India and Mahindra Blues Festival along with other international acts like Coldplay, Cigarettes After Sex, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Guns N' Roses, the music concert calendar is full of Enrique Iglesias, Travis Scott, Passenger and The Smashing Pumpkins set to feature later this year. The city has already established itself in music tourism. With the music festival already bringing Martin Garrix and Alan Walker for fans in the past, fans will be excited for the festival lineup.
