It takes a village
11 am-7 pm: At The art exhibition, Sanctity of Rural Heritage, Sangli-based artists Sandeep Bavachkar and Mansingh Jadhav, display their paintings on rural life. They use light and shade to bring out the harmony of a life removed from urban chaos. The artists wish to emphasise on vivid aspects, simplicity of rural life and nuances of the warli way of life. The themes on display incorporate their social sanctity and traditions, too.

5 pm: The comedy, Rusty Screws, marks actor Boman Irani’s return to the stage after 10 long years. The play takes you inside a nuclear family with tempers and utensils flying all over the place. On the occasion of his father's birthday, Rustom Screwvala helplessly juggles friends, family and work — all in one day. He has to decide whether to meet his father or be with his friend. The play raises the question — have our friends replaced our families? The show will raise funds for St Mary’s School Alumni Association.
