Indian wine producer Sula Vineyards has launched a new wine, The Source Grenache Red, which is the newest addition to its premium 'The Source' range.&nbsp;
Made from 100 per cent Grenache grapes, this red wine is a fresh, vibrant, and easy drinking expression that brings out the varietal&rsquo;s fruit forward character and smooth texture.&nbsp;
Marking the eighth wine in the range, this launch is a natural progression, says the winery. It comes following the strong response to The Source Grenache Ros&eacute;, and now the The Source Grenache Red aims to take the story forward offering a deeper, more layered expression while staying true to the approachable style.&nbsp;
Interestingly, the new wine comes after the recent launch of The Source Chardonnay Reserve earlier this year.&nbsp;
A medium bodied wine with 13 per cent ABV, The Source Grenache Red has inviting aromas of strawberry, red cherry, and raspberry. On the palate, it is juicy and silky smooth, with vibrant red berries and sun ripened cherries complemented by a subtle hint of spice. Balanced acidity, medium tannins, and a clean, fruit driven finish make it an easy and enjoyable choice. &nbsp; Designed for relaxed dining and everyday indulgence, the wine pairs effortlessly with dishes such as chicken tikka, paneer tikka, mild curries, tomato-based pastas, pizzas, and roasted vegetables.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Gorakh Gaikwad, COO and Chief Winemaker at Sula Vineyards, said, &ldquo;With The Source Grenache Red, we wanted to build on the strong response we have seen for The Grenache Ros&eacute; and further explore the potential of this varietal. The idea was to create a wine that is fruit-forward, smooth, and easy to enjoy, while still offering balance and character.&rdquo; &nbsp; The Source Grenache Red is priced at Rs 1,295 for a 750 ml bottle, and Rs 727 for a 375 ml bottle. The wine is now available in wine shops across Mumbai.
