Sharad Purnima is a significant festival in the Indian calendar, a part of Sharad Ritu (Indian Autumn) that spans from mid-September to mid-November. It brings with it a series of celebrated festivals, including Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali. Sharad Purnima falls on October 28th, 2023.

To honour the spirit of Sharad Purnima, Ishaara, an Indian restaurant in the city has collaborated with home chef and food content creator, Chef Amrita Kaur to craft a delectable 5-course menu that pays homage to the season's bounty.

In line with their efforts to shine a spotlight on India’s many regional celebrations, this association will see a special two-day pop-up menu being introduced on the auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima. The pop-up is set to take place on October 27 and 28, 2023, at Ishaara, Palladium Phoenix from 12 pm to 3.30 pm.

The menu promises a myriad of dishes, which interestingly start with a dessert.  Named ‘Ek Tukda Chand Ka’, the dessert will be served as the first dish. The pop-up menu will feature cooling, pitta-pacifying dishes, fresh seasonal produce, and artisanal experiments that reflect the essence of Sharad Ritu.

Featuring on the menu are ‘Chandra Kala’ Ambemohar rice farra gnocchi, a small plate called ‘Har Jagah hai Jal’ with Balam Kakdi (Indian giant cucumbers), Tadgola and Singhada, a sharing platter with fresh tuvar hummus and a whole Sharad Thali with super seasonal local ingredients with all six tastes as per Ayurveda principles. To end the meal ‘Life Ki Recipe Mukhwas’ and ‘Kashi Hajmola Chai’ will be presented.
