Those who don't consume healthy foods at a higher risk of cardiovascular diseases: Study

Researchers from Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University revealed in a study conducted at the Population Research Health Institute (PHRI) that persons who do not consume enough of six important nutrients collectively had a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Consuming whole-fat dairy products, seafood, legumes, nuts, fruits, and vegetables helps reduce the risk of CVD, including heart attacks and strokes. The study also discovered that there are other strategies to maintain a healthy diet, such as consuming unprocessed meats or entire grains in moderation.
