Skipping popular Bandra eateries to sample Potato Chops, Eggplant Pickle or Ash Wednesday PanRolls from resident East Indian caterers could make for an interesting weekend plan. A food walk organised by Wandering Foodie takes you through Chapel Road and Bazaar Road to explore four quaint eateries — Lydia’s Snacks Corner, Olly’s Corner, Lourdes Fast Food and Kalpana Snacks Mart. “You won’t find these eateries on Zomato. They serve typical East Indian cuisine that the locality is known for. East Indian cuisine has a Portuguese influence. It’s similar to but also different from Goan food. You can sample portions of Vindaloo and Sorpotel apart from snacks too. Our walk is led by Lawrence D’Souza who is born and raised in Bazaar Road, and is familiar with it’s history and people,” says co-founder, Rahul Patil.
