Roadside sandwiches have dotted the city's street food culture for years. We often see sandwich makers toying with myriad combinations of ingredients to give their regular fare that extra zing. Some experiments pay off, some don’t. This sandwich maker, whose little roadside stall — Om Sandwich and Panipuri — is nestled in a road opposite Liberty Cinema, is quite a hit in the neighbourhood. Sandwich-maker, Pramod Gupta has been running his sandwich and chaat outlet since 1993, along with two brothers. Thanks to their stall, opposite the Pancharatna Hotel, beside a popular juice centre, some refer to that lane as 'khau galli'.
