This weekend, step into Candyland, filled with life-size cupcakes, donuts, lollipops and marshmallows, while you can gorge on their miniature, edible versions.

The fifth edition of the Dessert Garden festival will see 70 stalls selling a variety of sweets and desserts, and a few savouries. &ldquo;We found that most bakers do not operate from stores in the city and don&rsquo;t have the needed backing to display their talent. I had the idea to feature these people, especially since many of them were doing interesting desserts of the kind that haven&rsquo;t been seen in the city before,&rdquo; says Nikita Harisinghani, founder of Dessert Garden.
This time&rsquo;s edition will see Harisinghani&rsquo;s team of ten experiment with different installations; a cupcake car (with frosting) that you can drive around, candies, marshmallows, lollipops. &ldquo;The theme is Candyland, and we were keen on the d&eacute;cor reflecting it,&rdquo; she adds.
Most stalls will be selling Western desserts, from pavlovas to cupcakes. There are a few also serving Indian desserts &mdash; kulfi, faloodas and even fusion ones like Rasmalai Mousse. &ldquo;Every stall will be selling just one category of desserts,&rdquo; she adds. Some traditional favourites will be low-fat ice creams with fresh fruit from Ifruit; freshly baked waffle sticks from Waffle House; cake pops from Apron Patisserie; and fusion cupcakes like Masala Chai Cupcake from I Love Babycakes.
