Peanuts work well as a fun evening snack with chai or as chakna with vodka in a seedy dive. The popular versions that we have munched on are salted, boiled or spiced. Recently, we were introduced to flavoured varieties of the humble snack. A Goregaon-based company has given it a makeover that not many would have thought was possible. On a recent visit to a supermarket, we noticed small packets of the nuts in interesting flavours, but the two options that we really liked were the Dabeli and Cheese Jalapeno versions.
