They were the Kolis, the fisherfolk who still occupy pockets of the city and set out before the crack of dawn to earn their daily bread. Undoubtedly, fish is intrinsic to the food the Kolis eat. All this, yet we know more about Malvani or Gomantak cuisine, both imports from other parts of the state.
