The problem with most new eateries in the city is that they try to fit in as many cuisines as possible to please different customers, but end up getting most of it wrong. New eatery, Step Iin Bar and Kitchen, (ignore the misspelt ‘In’) however, stays away from this formula and successfully ends up in pleasing our palates.

Located in a quiet lane in Mahim, next to Kazi Masjid, Step Iin offers a simple-yet-comfortable ambiance, similar to that of the neighbourhood restaurant you might be visiting since your childhood for Tandoori Roti with Paneer Makhanwala. But the menu is a tad better as they offer some weekend specials such as Nalli Nihari and Laal Maas, for which you would usually have to head to Mohammed Ali Road. Currently, the menu mainly consists of Indian and Mughlai cuisine; they plan to add Chinese soon.
