I cover stories related to BMC, so my day starts at the BMC office. The canteen in the building is a boon as it offers tasty snacks, with quick service and at subsidised rates. The good part is anyone can go to the canteen, if you have a complaint to register at BMC or any other task.

Hotel Deluxe at Fort is the place to go for tasty and unlimited food when you are pressed for time. Known of its traditional Keralite preparations, I always order their Sadhya Thali. The good bit is that the food is light, so you don't feel sleepy after eating the unlimited thali! Sky Cafe near Sterling theatre is good option too.

I studied in St John The Baptist School in Thane and even while reporting I prefer the grill sandwiches or the Veg Cheese Toast at Bhavna Hotel outside the school. Preeti Sandwich, which is opposite Bhavna is another favourite. I also prefer the Biryani sold outside Vashi station. Another place I recommend is the Malvani Thali at a stall in the lane behind Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters.

Usually we would be around Wankhede stadium during cricket matches, and so, the Kheema Pav at Stadium Restaurant used to be a favourite. I don't frequent it these days, and hence, Cafe Madras at Kings Circle is a place I recommend now, as I eat there almost every day.

I usually cover areas along the Western suburbs. So, Adar Udipi at Vile Parle (E) is a place I eat at almost every day. My favourite item on their menu is the Neer Dosa, which is filling and healthy.

Uncle's Kitchen has to be my favourite place to eat in the entire city. I used to stay in Malad before; it's how I discovered the place. Another eatery that I love to visit is Rama Nayak's in Matunga, near the railway station.
