<p>   Located near Dindoshi Bus Depot in Malad (E), Taste of Ganges seemed like an ideal place to dive into sumptuous Bengali cuisine. Pic/Amit Jadhav</strong></p>  <p>   We prevailed, eventually and ordered for a Mughlai Paratha (Rs 100), Chicken Pahadi Kebab (Rs 170) and Mutton Ajwain Kabab Roll (Rs 170), a rather odd choice for starter, but we wanted to try their rolls as well. For the mains we settled on Egg Thali (Rs 180), Ilish Bhapa (Rs 180), Bhetki Kalia (Rs 140) and steamed rice (Rs 80).</p>  <p>   The Mughlai Paratha and Chicken Pahadi Kebab were the first to arrive. Both failed to impress our taste buds, and to make things worse, we were served the Mutton Ajwain Tikka Kebab (Rs 220), and not the roll as we had requested. Of the main course, the portions in the Egg Thali were huge, but the Egg Curry was anything but Bengali.</p>  <p>   Then arrived the biggest disaster -- the Ilish Bhapa. All we could taste was mustard.
