<h2>Initiative Led by Social Organisation</h2>
<p>The mobile screening unit has been introduced by the Mi Mumbai Abhiyan Abhiman Pratishthan, under the initiative of MLC Prasad Lad and Neeta Prasad Lad.</p>
<p>The organisation has been involved in social welfare activities for several years, working in areas such as healthcare, education, skill development, and support for underprivileged communities.</p>
<h2>Focus on Rural and Underserved Areas</h2>
<p>The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/maharashtra-s-mobile-forensic-labs-reach-59-to-speed-up-crime-investigation-23593752" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">mobile van</a> is designed to travel to rural and remote locations, providing access to screening services for cancers such as breast, cervical, and oral cancer. The initiative aims to enable early diagnosis, which is critical for effective treatment and improved survival rates.</p>
<p>In addition to screening, the programme will include awareness campaigns to address misconceptions about cancer and encourage timely medical consultation.</p>

<p>Health experts have consistently highlighted that early detection significantly increases the chances of successful treatment. The initiative seeks to promote this message through on-ground outreach, particularly in areas where access to healthcare infrastructure remains limited.</p>
