Air India AI816 aborts take-off from Mumbai after ATC instruction, aircraft sent for checks

The airline added that alternative arrangements are being made to fly passengers to their destination at the earliest. Air India also apologised for the inconvenience caused due to the unforeseen situation and reiterated that passenger safety and well-being remain its top priority

Air India flight AI816, operating from Mumbai to Delhi, discontinued its take-off run on Tuesday after receiving instructions from Air Traffic Control (ATC), the airline said in a statement.

The aircraft returned to the bay following the aborted take-off and will undergo necessary checks as per standard operating procedures, Air India said.
