The Tata Motors on Wednesday paid fine of around Rs one lakh to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) authorities for displaying unauthorised advertisements during the much-publicised 'Nano' car launch at Marine Drive in south Mumbai.

The civic body had sent notices to Tata Motors owner Ratan Tata and Parsi Gymkhana officer-bearer P C Cooper for putting up 14 unauthorised hoardings across the venue where the function took place at Marine Drive on Monday.
