Covid-19: Cases and deaths rise in Mumbai

This comes a day after the city recorded the second wave’s lowest daily cases and fatalities; state also sees a rise in both

After recording the second wave’s lowest daily cases and fatalities on Monday, the city saw a marginal rise in new cases and deaths due to Covid-19 on Tuesday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), 239 new cases were registered along with five deaths in Mumbai. The state also saw a rise in cases and deaths at 5,609 and 137, respectively.

The city’s test positivity rate however, continued to see a marginal drop on Tuesday as it recorded the second wave’s lowest TPR at 0.75%. The doubling rate was 1,712 days on Tuesday.
