COVID-19: Mumbai’s test positivity rate drops to single digit

April ended on a positive note for Mumbai as the Coronavirus test positivity rate (TPR) dropped to a single digit — from 20.85 per cent on April 1 to 9.01 per cent on Friday. Also, the daily cases dropped below 4,000 and the doubling rate of infections improved significantly to 87 days, according to the BMC.
According to the data released by the BMC on Friday, the city confirmed 3,925 more cases of novel Coronavirus. However, there was a marginal rise in daily casualties which reached 89, including 56 men and 33 women.
