Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday underlined the importance of a strong law and order system in driving the state’s development, while reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening the Maharashtra Police and bringing it in line with global standards.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the 36th Maharashtra State Police Sports Meet 2026, held at the Armed Police Headquarters in Kalina. The event was attended by senior state officials, including ministers and top police leadership.
