<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-fire-breaks-out-at-mmrda-rental-complex-in-vartak-nagar-no-casualties-23636034" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">A fire broke out</a> at a Jio mobile tower located within the premises of Anand Cinema near Thane Railway Station in Kopri, Thane (East), on Thursday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, according to officials.</p>
<p>The Thane Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Cell said it received information about the fire at 8:14 am on June 25.</p>
<h2>Emergency teams respond swiftly</h2>
<p>Following the alert, personnel from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL), Jio, Kopri Police, the Thane Municipal Corporation Disaster Management Department, and the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-fire-brigade-rescues-30-year-old-man-from-drowning-near-kalwa-new-bridge-23635405" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Fire Brigade rushed to the spot</a>. One fire engine was deployed to contain the blaze.</p>
<p>Firefighters and disaster management personnel worked to bring the situation under control and completely extinguished the fire by around 9:05 am.</p>
<h2>Situation under control</h2>
<p>Officials said the fire was successfully contained, preventing it from spreading further. The situation is now under control, and no injuries or casualties have been reported.</p>
<h2>Eight vehicles damaged in Thane wall collapse</h2>
<p>In another incident, eight vehicles were damaged after the boundary wall of an open plot collapsed in Maharashtra's Thane city shortly after midnight on Thursday, officials said.</p>
<p>No person was injured in the incident, they said.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/four-homes-declared-dangerous-evacuated-after-thane-wall-collapse-none-injured-23587010" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">compound wall collapsed</a> onto parked vehicles near a chawl (row tenement) in the Wagle Estate area of Thane, Regional Disaster Management Cell chief Yasin Tadvi said.</p>
<p>Seven auto-rickshaws and a motorcycle were damaged, he said.</p>
<p>The disaster control room received an emergency call about the incident from a local resident at 12.34 am, the official said.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-wall-collapses-in-mumbra-none-injured-23365187" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">collapsed structure</a> was a boundary wall of an open plot, measuring about 7 feet in height and 10 feet in length, he said.</p>
<p>Upon receiving the alert, emergency teams swung into action. Rescue and fire personnel cleared the heavy debris of the collapsed wall and extricated the trapped vehicles. The rubble scattered across the road was cleared to ensure smooth traffic movement, the official said.</p>
<p>With the monsoon season active, civic authorities have appealed to people to avoid parking vehicles adjacent to old, weak, or vulnerable structural walls.</p>
