The Maharashtra State Co-operative Appellate Court has upheld a Colaba housing society's decision to introduce annual parking allotments through a draw of lots, ruling that members cannot claim permanent rights over common parking spaces.

The court dismissed an appeal filed by two long-time members of Strand Co-operative Housing Society, who challenged the society's revised parking policy, steep hike in parking charges, and other resolutions passed at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September 2024.
