Maharashtra to review NICU expansion plans as MLAs flag gaps in neonatal care

Leaders from across political parties on Thursday called on the Maharashtra government to strengthen neonatal healthcare services and address the high cost of treatment for premature newborns, as per PTI.

Responding to a discussion in the Legislative Assembly, Health Minister Prakash Abitkar said the government is considering measures to expand Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) facilities to meet growing healthcare needs.
