Maharashtra is making significant progress towards becoming the country’s first “tokenised state”, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Wednesday, highlighting the state government’s efforts to use technology to make land records easier to access and review.

Fadnavis made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai. He said the initiative is aimed at taking Maharashtra’s digital infrastructure and financial technology ecosystem to the next level.
