<p>The Maharashtra Police have arrested three more people in connection with the alleged <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/maharashtra-tet-paper-leak-govt-mulls-mcoca-online-exams-23637475" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 question paper leak case</a>, taking the total number of arrests in the investigation to seven, officials said on Friday.</p>
<p>The arrests were made by a state-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the alleged leak that led to the postponement of the examination last month.</p>
<p>The three accused have been identified as Sonu Singh, Mithun Singh and Kapil Dahiya. According to officials, they were arrested from Uttar Pradesh as part of the ongoing investigation into the network involved in the paper leak.</p>
<h2>Accused remanded to police custody</h2>
<p>After their arrest, the three accused were produced before a local magistrate on Thursday. The court remanded them to police custody for further questioning.</p>
<p>Investigators are now examining their alleged roles in the leak and whether they were involved in circulating the question paper or coordinating with other members of the network.</p>
<p>With the latest arrests, seven <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/maharashtra-tet-paper-leak-stf-detains-three-in-hajipur-cyber-cafe-raid-23637872" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">people have been taken into custody so far in connection with the case</a>.</p>
<h2>Examination postponed after question paper leak</h2>
<p>The TET 2026 examination was postponed on June 27, just a day before it was scheduled to take place, after police in Maharashtra's Thane district found that a portion of the question paper had allegedly been leaked.</p>
<p>Following the discovery, authorities arrested three people and launched a wider investigation to identify others involved in the alleged racket.</p>
<p>The postponement affected nearly six lakh candidates who were preparing to appear for the eligibility examination.</p>
<h2>Investigation links network to several states</h2>
<p>According to officials, the SIT investigation has revealed that the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mva-protests-in-maharashtra-legislature-over-tet-paper-leak-seeks-education-ministers-resignation-23637365" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">alleged paper leak</a> network was spread across several locations, including Delhi, Agra, Bihar and Haryana.</p>
<p>Earlier, investigators arrested Suman Kumari Gupta, the wife of alleged mastermind Vijendra Gupta, from Patna. Officials said her arrest followed an examination of call records and financial transactions that allegedly established links between her and the main accused.</p>
<p>The SIT is continuing to analyse digital evidence, communication records and financial trails to determine the scale of the operation.</p>
<h2>Search continues for alleged mastermind</h2>
<p>Police teams have been sent to multiple states to trace Vijendra Gupta and other accused believed to be associated with the alleged paper leak network.</p>
<p>Officials said further arrests are likely as the investigation progresses.</p>
