Nearly two weeks after a 21-year-old air hostess died by suicide at her home in Kalyan East, the Kolsewadi police on Monday late night arrested her alleged boyfriend, Kaushik Prakash Pawshe, 23, for abetment to suicide.

Her family had alleged years of harassment, abuse and financial exploitation.

The mother, Ujwala Pawshe alleged that her daughter, Neha, had been in a relationship with Pawshe since 2020.

The woman died on December 28, 2025, and the case was initially registered as an Accidental Death Report (ADR) by the police.

Later, police converted it into an FIR on January 10. Police said the investigation is ongoing and digital and financial evidence is being examined.
