Maharashtra continued to reel under hot and dry weather conditions on Wednesday, with Vidarbha emerging as the worst-affected region as temperatures soared well above normal across several districts, according to data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Vidarbha bears the brunt

Several districts across Vidarbha continued to sizzle today with maximum temperatures crossing the 40 degrees Celsius mark at most locations. Brahmapuri recorded the highest temperature in the state at 45.5 degrees Celsius, highlighting the severity of the ongoing heatwave-like conditions.
