Parts of Vidarbha to witness thunderstorms, lightning and rains; orange alert issued for Amravati

According to a weather bulletin, several district including Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Akola, Yavatmal, Bhuldana and Washim were under a yellow alert

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow alert for several districts in Maharashtra's Vidarbha, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall and strong gusty winds.
The weather department also issued an orange alert for Amravati district.
