Mumbai weather update: IMD predicts thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds on June 1 and 2

Mumbai is likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds on June 1, according to the IMD. Cloudy skies and pre-monsoon showers are expected to bring temporary relief from the heat, while air quality across Mumbai and the MMR remains in the good to satisfactory category

IMD forecasts rain, lightning and cloudy skies in Mumbai on June 1 (File pic)

Mumbai on Monday, June 1, is most likely to experience scattered thunderstorms and cloudy conditions, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather department has forecasted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 km/h) across Mumbai and the suburbs.
