The party also criticised the police response, alleging that while those involved at lower levels were being arrested, the alleged masterminds, ringleaders and politically connected backers behind the racket continued to remain free under government protection

Shiv Sena (UBT) has launched a fresh attack on the Maharashtra government over alleged irregularities in Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examinations, warning that growing anger among competitive exam aspirants could have serious political consequences if their concerns are ignored.
An editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamana on Wednesday referred to protests by thousands of competitive exam aspirants in Pune, Kolhapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Amravati. The protesters have been demanding the removal of the MPSC leadership, an impartial investigation into the alleged paper leak and greater transparency in competitive examinations.
