Mumbai: 28-year-old man dies while rescuing 8-year-old girl from nullah in Ghatkopar

The girl had entered the nullah to retrieve a ball and got stuck, and the deceased jumped in to save her. He managed to catch hold of the girl and passed her off to another man, but he got stuck in the silt and waste and sank, an official said

A 28-year-old man reportedly died while rescuing a child from a nullah in Ramabai Nagar area of Ghatkopar in eastern suburbs of Mumbai, the police said on Monday, reported the PTI.

The incident on Sunday afternoon, an official said.
