In a shocking incident, the Agripada police arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly molesting an 8-year-old girl from her neighbourhood. The incident came to light when the victim's parents took their child in confidence and she revealed the ordeal to her parents. Post which, the parents appraoched the Agripada police station and filed a complaimt agaimst the accused.

While speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Senior inspector Sabalram Agwane said the accused has been booked under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act along with Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
