<p>The mood turned nostalgic at the C.O.R.E (Culture Of Real Experiences) pop-culture convention at BKC on June 21. Cosplayers Medha Srivastava and Raj Pathare aka Mooz turned heads with their Lara Croft (popularised by Angelina Jolie) and Shadow Ranger (from the Power Rangers SPD series) cosplays.</p>

<p>The &rsquo;90s kid in this diarist was pleased to learn that visitors across age groups instantly recognised the popular characters from their signature costumes. &ldquo;My costume was actually a last-minute idea, since the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/lifestyle/culture/article/mumbai-comic-con-2026-sees-comic-book-and-anime-fans-come-together-to-celebrate-pop-culture-and-fandom-yet-again-23630083" rel="nofollow">Comic Con season</a> is well behind us. I did some quick online shopping, sourced an auburn-brown wig, and crafted a few props,&rdquo; Srivastava told us. The Indian Championship of Cosplay-winner, who usually dons grand costumes, seemed elated that she finally had a costume which she could move around freely in. As for how the inaugural edition of the convention fared, it was a promising turnout with many young enthusiasts in sight, we learnt. &nbsp;</p>
<h2>Let&rsquo;s do the green-asana</h2>

<p>Environment-conscious residents of Navi Mumbai cut no corners while celebrating International Yoga Day on June 21, which coincided with the weekly mangrove clean-up near Nerul&rsquo;s Karave Jetty. Surrounded by lush, age-old trees, 40 volunteers led by Environment Life Foundation&rsquo;s Dharmesh Barai performed yoga under the guidance of Dipali Udiavar, integrative yoga and psychotherapist.</p>

<p>The rain gods seemed to be impressed as well, treating them to a pleasant, light drizzle. &ldquo;We launched into action after the session, and cleared nearly 300 kg of plastic, thermocol and medical waste from the area. Clean, unpolluted air and water are absolutely basic needs,&rdquo; said Barai.</p>

<p>Acclaimed author Jerry Pinto will join readers at Santacruz&rsquo;s Journal caf&eacute; this Sunday for a morning centred on books, storytelling and contemporary writing. Organised in collaboration with the book club Broke Bombay, the session will witness Pinto reflecting on his body of work, creative journey and recent releases, followed by an engaging Question &amp; Answer segment. We&rsquo;re told that attendees can also browse a selection of Pinto&rsquo;s books as they sip on fresh brews. Sounds like more than a good morning to us.</p>

No. The refund would arrive, they said, later, after the item was repurchased. He didn&rsquo;t fall for this probable trick, but lost his money on the original order. So, while the product is sleek and unlikely to cut your fingers, don&rsquo;t let it slice your pocket with a double payment. Choose a credible platform to buy it from, is what we advise.
