<p>A fire broke out in an air conditioning unit on the sixth floor of a residential building in Mumbai's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-fire-guts-2-floors-of-juhu-hotel-23325612" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Juhu area</a> on Thursday morning, prompting a response from the Mumbai Fire Brigade and other emergency agencies.</p>
<p>No casualties were reported so far, they said.</p>
<h2>Fire confined to sixth floor AC unit</h2>
<p>According to preliminary information, the incident was reported at around 7:43 am at Manisha Building, located on JVPD Road No. 12 near Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Juhu. The fire was confined to an air conditioning unit on the sixth floor of the 11-storey residential building.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-fire-breaks-out-at-residential-building-in-colaba-cuffe-parade-no-injuries-reported-23632962" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai Fire Brigade</a> later classified the incident as a Level-1 fire at 7:53 am.</p>
<h2>Multiple agencies deployed</h2>
<p>Firefighters, police personnel, officials from Adani Electricity Distribution Company, civic ward staff, Public Works Department personnel and a 108 ambulance were mobilised to the site as part of the emergency response.</p>
<p>Authorities are continuing to assess the situation, and further details regarding the cause of the fire and the extent of damage are awaited.</p>
<h2>No injuries reported</h2>
<p>As of the latest update received at 8:01 am, no injuries or casualties had been reported in the incident.</p>
<p>Officials said the fire remained limited to the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/ghansoli-fire-tragedy-10-rescued-as-fire-engulfs-apartment-after-suspected-ac-blast-23634097" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">air conditioning unit</a>, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.</p>
<h2>45 residents evacuated as fire breaks out in eight-storey building in Thane city</h2>
<p>In another incident, around 45 residents were safely evacuated from a building after a fire broke out in the eight-storey structure in the Naupada area of Thane city on Tuesday evening, the local civic body said.</p>
<p>The fire erupted in the electric duct of the residential building, Snehsadan, at 5:43 pm, but there were no casualties, said the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-fire-updates-massive-fire-breaks-out-at-tyre-warehouse-near-daighar-police-station-in-maharashtras-thane-23634370" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC).</p>
<p>"The fire broke out in the electric duct on the third, fourth and fifth floors of the building," RDMC chief Yasin Tadvi said.</p>
<p>Local residents, along with RDMC staff and fire brigade personnel, managed to put out the blaze after about 30 minutes of efforts, he said.</p>
<p>"With the help of RDMC staff and fire brigade personnel, around 45 residents of the building were safely evacuated." Tadvi informed.</p>
