Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat train to get 20 coaches, annual capacity to reach 2.69 lakh passengers

With a spanking new 20-coach Vande Bharat train to be inducted instead of the existing 16-coach one on the Mumbai–Gandhinagar Capital section, the additional four coaches will lead to the addition of 2.69 lakh passengers per year on the route.

"Once introduced, the 20-coach train will benefit more passengers on this already well-patronised Mumbai Central–Gandhinagar Vande Bharat route," Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek said.
